My mother in law found 2 kittens on her burn pile. one was dead the other was mewing very loudly. They took the mewing one in and left the dead one be. There is no other kittens in the area. and it was kinda like they were dragged out on just a open pile. no shelter. no mum. nothing. so, im taking the kitten home. my mother in law has been feeding it milk replacer from farnam. and has had it in warm towels. the kittens eyes are seal shut. and it has a umbilical cord attached with kinda dried blood on its fur. im guessing its a newborn. its feeding from the dropper great. and this formula says if the kitten is weak feed it every 4 hrs. if its healthy feed it every 8 hrs. can some one give me advice on what to do? i am gonna put it in a rubber made container at home with a heating pad under neath it on half of the box set on low. and i know to wipe the bottom every couple of hours with warm wet washcloth. and they just found another two another cat was eating them? a male cat? so they scared it off and and there was only one alive. the rest had bite marks all over their throats and what not. so please help me! and let me know if it seems like they are going to be to much to keep alive let me know.
