Where I live there are lots of wild rabbits hopping around. The rabbits sometimes tend to bury their new born babies in our lawn or perhaps behind a bush. We have a dog that will find the baby rabbits and apparently dig them up. My grandpa has been telling me for years now that our dog has killed baby rabbits and that he has to go clean them up. Just today he told me our dog has killed some more newborn rabbits and I decided to go with him to check it out. I come to find out that the newborn rabbits were fine, they had nothing wrong with them. There were 4 in total and out of the 4 I only saw blood from one of them but I think that was only from the umbilical cord. Even though all 4 were fine, he insisted on putting these rabbits in a bag and throwing them away. I had to convince him to give him to one of our neighbors that takes care of rabbits and then releases them latter on. I was thinking that perhaps I could do this myself? How would I be able to do this? What are some of the things I need and what do I need to know to take care of them? Would the vet take in wild newborn rabbits? Are there other places I could take them? PLEASE ANSWER ALL OF MY QUESTIONS AND BE AS DETAILED AS POSSIBLE, IF I'M DISPLEASED I WILL GIVE YOU A THUMBS DOWN AND I ENCOURAGE OTHER VIEWERS TO DO THE SAME, THANK YOU.
